2,200 Tennessee Jobs Tied To Corporate Expansions, Relocation.

As stock markets continue to swing wildly on the recent downgrade of the federal government’s credit rating, corporations that have announced expansions and relocations to Williamson County are still moving ahead with those plans, according to a local liaison.

Matt Largen, director of Economic Development for Williamson County, has lately been touting the expected arrival of more than 2,200 new jobs to the community, most of which are tied to corporate operations. Those decisions came before the debt-ceiling showdown in Washington and the subsequent havoc it brought to Wall Street. Largen, however, said he is regularly in touch with several of the companies that, over the past year, promised to bring their operations here and hire hundreds of new workers.  Read more by Josh Adams at The Tennessean here.
