Schumacher To Add 600 + Jobs In Louisiana. 

In what is being labeled as a historic announcement in the Acadiana business world, Schumacher Group is expanding its Lafayette headquarters with a $19 million investment that is expected to produce about 600 new direct jobs.

All told, about 1,400 direct and indirect jobs could be created within the next five years as a result of the company’s growth.

Local and state officials, led by Gov. Bobby Jindal, gathered at Schumacher’s offices on Corporate Boulevard on Thursday to make the official announcement.

Since getting its start in the Opelousas area in 1994, the emergencymedicine staffing and management company now serves about 3.5 million patients each year at more than 180 hospitals in 24 states. Ekornes ASA Adding Jobs In Arkansas.

A derelict building will soon be rehabbed for a Norwegian furniture plant.

Ekornes ASA, a Norwegian furniture manufacturer, will open a new facility in Morganton, state officials announced Thursday morning. The company plans to create 58 jobs and invest $1.3 million over the next three years.

Monroe Adding Jobs In Upstate, NY.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced recently that Monro Services Corporation will retain and expand its centralized corporate offices and warehouse/distribution operations in the City of Rochester. Awards To Create 59 Jobs In Iowa.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Economic Development Board approved awards Thursday that they said will create up to 59 jobs in Iowa and retain another 227 jobs.

The board approved incentives for planned or proposed projects located in Cedar Rapids, Harlan, Ankeny and Oelwein during its meeting.
